Mbappe asked for 55 million euros in unpaid after-tax bonuses from Paris, which he had previously verbally agreed to give up. For Paris Saint-Germain, this is equivalent to paying 68 million euros.

Paris Saint-Germain insisted that the two parties had a clear and binding verbal agreement, and also drafted a written agreement with Mbappe, which also confirmed the player's commitment to give up the funds, but Mbappe did not sign the agreement later because he said he was considering staying at Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe has referred to this verbal agreement several times and the committee will make a non-binding ruling. They may side with PSG and even ask Mbappe to compensate his former club more, or they may recommend that PSG pay Mbappe a fee of €55 million.

A third option is that they ask Mbappe to mediate, which PSG will consider an acceptable outcome as the committee will recognize the validity of their arguments.

Mbappe may also refuse mediation and take the matter to court, which could take two years or more and may involve several witnesses testifying - including Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, as they were both involved in the verbal discussions.

Any court hearing will take into account the findings of today's complaints committee, so all parties believe the ruling is important.
