UEFA official: Roma fined 2 million euros for overspending in fiscal year 2023

UEFA officially announced the treatment of clubs that are still in the financial observation period, and many of them have been further punished.

The First Tribunal of UEFA's Financial Control Committee met this week to complete its assessment of clubs participating in the 2023/24 season or being under the settlement system during the 2023/24 season.

This is the first time the Financial Control Board has assessed the club under new 'team costs' rules, which will be phased in over three years. In 2023, clubs must report a rate at or below 90%. In 2024, the ratio will drop to 80% and in 2025 to 70%.

All clubs reported team cost ratios within the 90% cap applicable for the 2023/24 season.

However, two clubs, Aston Villa (England) and Marseille (France), were fined €60,000 and €60,000 respectively by the First Tribunal of the Financial Control Committee due to delays in submitting financial information. 20,000 euros.

RAMS Basaksehir (Turkey) has slightly violated the final goals for the 2023/24 season and has been imposed the following disciplinary sanctions by the First Tribunal of the Financial Control Board:
